COMPUTER WORLD/ LANDSCAPE - FROM THE TEA-ROOMS OF MARS... (Saudi-Arabia, 1981?) Unofficial - 747, 6839 Another unofficial release from Saudi-Arabia today, and it's a split cassette! I've had one item from the Saudi '747' label before, a C-60 with one-and-a-half Kraftwerk album. In this instance, it's another C-60, with 30 minutes of Computer World followed by a different artist altogether! Landscape were originally a jazz funk outfit, but hopped the New Romantic bandwagon and made  a couple albums of synth pop, of sorts. Anyway, on the B-side here, you get 7 of the 11 tracks that make up the album "From The Tea-Rooms Of Mars .... To The Hell-Holes Of Uranus". The J-card is a hi-quality glossy 2-panel card, printed on one side. Again, as was the case with the previous cassette on the 747 label, the front cover has a unique design, a rather clever merging of the Landscape album cover with a re-assembling of the heads of the Kraftwerk dummies, as seen on t...

THE MAN·MACHINE/ RADIO-ACTIVITY (Saudi-Arabia? 1983?) Unofficial - Golden GL, GL 1328 Today's unofficial release was a bit of a mystery...Except I think I may have solved it! This cassette was recently sold on ebay, but the ad did not suggest any country of origin. The pictures showed the cover and the labels, but neither state any country (which is not uncommon among unofficial releases). Worse, the cassette is not listed in Discogs - and the label Golden GL is listed as "from unknown country "!  So what to do? Well, once I got it home, and started taking pictures of it, I thought it was kinda familiar, and it bears an uncanny resemblance to a previous post here , from the Saudi-Arabian '747' label; a C-60 cassette with The Man·Machine backed with selected tracks from Radio-Activity! Although the running order is changed, the same tracks were used, and there's several other similarities; typeface is the same, a couple of printer's errors ("Spacelas...

THE MAN·MACHINE/ RADIO-ACTIVITY (Saudi-Arabia, 1981?) Unofficial - 747, 7724 Another day another unofficial release... From Saudi-Arabia! The '747' label is a fairly prolific label, putting out lots of different releases of Western pop music of different kinds. They put out a fair bit of Kraftwerk, but the thing that makes it a little more interesting is, that instead of releasing the albums as they were, they have re-assembled the tracks. In the case of this one, it's a C-60 cassette with the 35 minutes that are The Man·Machine, followed by selected tracks from Radio-Activity! Four tracks are left off: Airwaves, Radio Stars, Uranium and Transistor. Transistor was released on another cassette in Saudi-Arabia though, it's a bonus track on the label's issue of Trans-Europe Express (I will feature that one some other time, it's also rather interesting!). The J-card is a hi-quality glossy 2-panel card. It is printed on both sides, but the inside is just a list of o...
