TRANS-EUROPE EXPRESS (India, 1990)
Capitol/ The Gramophone Co. STCS SW 11603

You've seen the first edition before, here's an Indian re-edition of Trans-Europe Express!

Indian cassettes are cool. There's a lot of different editions, they kept churning them out well into the 1990's; some are very rare, and the design changed many times. Sometimes, you'd get some special feature like the 1995 snap pack, and the "windowless" cassettes... They'd have inventive technological features too, I suppose - "Hi-dynamic" or as in today's case - "Stereo supreme"! What that means, I have no idea - stereo to me is two speakers, one left, one right, which potentially could create a lot of dynamic in the music, sometimes making it easier to hear production details. "Normal" stereo goes up to 100% though - if a sound is only in one speaker, remember your old Beatles records? - so how this "Stereo Supreme" (or "Supereme", even - strange place for a printer's error!) would work to beat that I am at a loss to understand. Seems to me they just wanted to put some nice words on the product!

The J-card is 1-panel, printed on both sides. The spine is dated 3/90 (not sure if that's a stamp or what). On the inside is the tracklist - correct running order as on the earlier Indian edition I've shown before - and a production credit to Ralf ("Rolf") and Florian, plus the Indian and US address of the record companies - the ASCAP publishing credit for each track also links the release to the USA, it was probably licensed from there. The cassette itself is a pale yellow, with a blue-ish grey print.
